Speech Therapist

Speech-Language Pathologist (SL) evaluates and provides therapy for students with speech language, and communication disorders that impact their educational performance.  The SLP collaborates with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to develop and implement indvidualized goals within the student's IEP.  Responsiblities include conducting assessments, delivering therapy services, documenting progress, and participating in ARD/IEP meetings.  The SLP also may supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and ensure services are impemented according to state and professional guidelines.  The overall role focused supporting student's communication skills to improve access to curriculum and school particpation.
