About the Role:
Highland Park ISD is seeking a qualified and dedicated Educational Diagnostician to join our Special Education team. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive student assessments, determine eligibility for special education services, and support instructional planning to meet diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Perform formal and informal educational evaluations
Prepare detailed reports outlining assessment results and recommendations
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings to interpret evaluation findings
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to develop effective educational plans
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district timelines and requirements
Provide consultation and support to staff and parents regarding interventions and accommodations
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, or related field
Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification (or eligibility)
Knowledge of special education laws, evaluation procedures, and instructional strategies
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
