Diagnostician

Plainview ISD serves a student population of just over 4,000, with approximately 600 students receiving special education services. Our team includes six diagnosticians and three ARD Managers.

All diagnosticians are based at the Education Center, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment. In Plainview ISD, elementary diagnosticians are not responsible for running ARD meetings. Instead, the clerical and paperwork responsibilities are managed by ARD Managers, allowing diagnosticians to focus on evaluations and report writing.

Our instructional calendar features a one-week break each month from October through March, providing staff and students with regular opportunities for rest and rejuvenation.
